Programs for Treasured Boaters

The TI Tackers is The Club TI’s women’s sailing and social group, which is a member of the FL Women’s Sailing Association. You can find them busy each week from October through April with a range of activities, such as sailing practice, interclub regattas, social events, and lunch meetings.  Come out and learn sailing basics or increase your skills, race in regattas or help on race and social committees, or if you love being around boats and being part of the fun and friendship of a great group, there’s a place for you with the Tackers!
Here’s your chance to meet and socialize with “nautical” club members who share the same love for “messing around in boats”!  Club boating members cruise their boats to planned destinations on the west-central Florida coast. Each cruise provides amenities and special area activities specific to that location. These are great opportunities to enjoy boating with family and friends on the beautiful waters within easy reach of Club TI. Many locations have rooms available overnight, for those who do not own a boat or would rather drive and meet up with the boaters by land.
Club TI has become a USCG approved site for Sea School to hold both the OUPV 6‑pack and Master 100‑ton Captain’s Courses. These courses are open to Club TI members and their guests as well as residents of the greater Tampa Bay community.

The Dockmaster’s Office also hosts presentations from our local US Coast Guard Auxiliary flotilla on a variety of nautical themes such as GPS technology, boating safety, hurricane preparedness, emergency boat handling and other maritime information, as well as hosting vessel inspections.

If you, or anyone you know, are interested in signing up for the next Captain’s course or would like more information, please contact the Dockmaster’s  Office at  727‑367‑4511 ext. 236.
The Club Marina offers members a variety of water sports activities.

Another fun boating activity set up for Club members are Shell Key Sunset Cruises, exclusive charters for Club members and their guests aboard the comfortable 48 foot “Compass Rose” excursion boat. The cruise conveniently departs from the Club TI Marina to Bunces Pass to watch dolphins play, followed by a beach and shelling excursion near Shell Key, then heads back under the rays of a spectacular Florida sunset!
At our Captain’s Dinners, our “nautically-inspired” members and their guests enjoy a double-entree dinner along with the camaraderie of boating friends. The dinners will occasionally feature a prominent guest from the boating community as a guest of honor. Prior to the Captain’s Dinner, we host a Marina Mixer, which offers a good opportunity to mingle with other Club boating members while enjoying a light wine tasting courtesy of The Club TI.
Club TI offers a Kids’ Summer Camp which incorporates sailing as an activity taking place in our sheltered harbor setting. Most weeks cater to beginner sailors, with one week set aside for intermediate skippers. Besides sailing, the kids’ camp itinerary features tennis and swimming along with a variety of other activities such as arts & crafts, fishing, games, hands-on culinary experiences, guest presenters and field trips. The program runs after school is out for summer break, for several weeks.
The biggest event of the year for The Club TI Marina is our presentation of the Annual Treasure Island Holiday Lighted Boat Parade. The Lighted Boat Parade is held on a Friday evening in December and is open to the public. For specifics on boat registration requirements for participation, sponsorship opportunities and information:  Call The Club TI Dockmaster’s Office at 727-367-4511 x236
