The Family Stone
The First Family of funk, rock and psychedelic soul, The Family Stone - known as Sly and the Family Stone in the 60s and 70s - blazed an indelible imprint on American music, becoming the first-ever band to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame; earn the R&B Foundation Pioneer Award; be named to Rolling Stone's "100 Greatest Artists of All Time"; and receive a special live tribute at the 2006 Grammy Awards. Their chart-topping classics have been covered by the likes of Aerosmith's Steve Tyler and Joe Perry, the Black Eyed Pea's will.i.am, John Legend, Maroon 5, Fantasia and countless others. With immortal songs like "I Want to Take You Higher," "Everybody Is a Star," "Everyday People," "Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)," "Dance to the Music," "Stand!" and - the perfect song for June in Tampa Bay - "Hot Fun in the Summertime," don't miss the trailblazing sounds of The Family Stone in the summer's hottest concert!

Kevin Pollak
Extraordinarily talented and deviously clever, the great Kevin Pollak has dazzled audiences as a comedian, as an impressionist, as a dramatic actor, as a writer, as a producer, as a director and as a talk-show host. On Saturday, July 28, Kevin Pollak will return to his comedy roots for one-night-only in Tampa Bay's most intimate concert venue.
Pollak started performing stand-up comedy at age ten and was an accomplished touring professional by age 20. In 1988, shortly after he shot his first HBO stand-up special, he landed a role in "Willow," directed by Ron Howard and produced by George Lucas. In 1989, he earned his first dramatic role in Barry Levinson's "Avalon," but it was Pollak's role in Rob Reiner's "A Few Good Men" - opposite Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson and Demi Moore - that proved his ability to hold his own with Hollywood heavyweights. Shortly thereafter, Pollak co-starred with icons Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon in "Grumpy Old Men" and its sequel, "Grumpier Old Men."
In 1994, Pollak was offered a role opposite Gabriel Byrne, Kevin Spacey and Benicio Del Toro in an indie film called "The Usual Suspects." The movie debuted at the Cannes Film Festival and won multiple Academy Awards, becoming so influential that The National Board of Review created a brand-new annual film award: The Best Ensemble Cast. That same year, Martin Scorsese asked Pollak to join Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci and Sharon Stone in his Vegas epic, "Casino." Pollak's other film credits include "Ricochet" (Denzel Washington & John Lithgow), "End of Days" (Arnold Schwarzenegger), "The Whole Nine Yards" (Bruce Willis & Matthew Perry) "Cop Out" (Bruce Willis & Tracy Morgan), and "The Big Year" (Steve Martin, Owen Wilson, Jack Black).
Pollak was named by Comedy Central as one of the Top 100 Comedians of All Time. His two live stand-up CDs - "A Little Off the Top" and "What Are the Chances," as well as his stand-up DVD "The Littlest Suspect" - are available at Kevinpollak.tv or on iTunes and Amazon.com.

Ben Bailey
Perhaps the world's most famous taxi cab driver, Ben Bailey's big break occurred when he was "discovered" smoking a cigarette in a Los Angeles parking lot: taking note of his six-foot, six-inch frame, he was immediately offered a job as a comedy club bouncer. After swapping stories with the headlining comedians backstage, one of the comics offered Bailey an opportunity to perform on-stage that Friday night. The rest, as they say, is history.
Now an A-List comedy headliner himself, Bailey achieved global recognition as the host of the Discovery Channel's smash-hit "Cash Cab" - the international TV sensation that has earned Bailey three Emmy Awards for Outstanding Game Show Host. He's also hosted "Cash Cab: After Dark" and currently hosts NBC's "Who's Still Standing?" Bailey's one-hour comedy special, "Road Rage," premiered on Comedy Central on May 21, 2011.

Danny Aiello
Mr. Danny Aiello, the Academy Award- and Golden Globe-nominated actor whose unforgettable performances in more than 80 films, including Moonstruck, Once Around and Do the Right Thing, have endeared him to audiences worldwide, will headline The Club at Treasure Island on Friday, October 12 for one-night-only. The show, entitled "An Evening with Danny Aiello," will feature Mr. Aiello with members of his jazz band, "Joe Geary and the Guys," performing a collection of beloved classics from Mr. Aiello's albums.
Musical highlights will include: "All of Me," "One for My Baby" and "Besame Mucho," together with other Aiello favorites, including "Lady in Red," "Save the Last Dance," and a special tribute to fellow crooner Bobby Darin.
Mr. Aiello debut album "I Just Wanted to Hear the Words" opened at #4 on the Billboard chart in 2004, earning the actor-and-singer vast critical acclaim. Variety Magazine raved: "...an appealing mix of dash and swagger - a musically adept, firmly controlled baritone"; while the Los Angeles Times glowed, "His voice warm and amiable, his phrasing easygoing and conversational, his singing revealed influences from his numerous idols - Bobby Darin in particular - but as with his acting, Aiello's singing at its core was far more than an accumulation of influences. It was a pure manifestation, instead of his own rich persona, of the abundant life experience he brings to his art."
Mr. Aiello has performed at the legendary Blues Note Jazz Club, the Apollo Theatre, the Los Angeles House of Blues and with the Boston Pops. This will be his first-ever performance in Treasure Island, Florida. |
